OmiseGo (OMG) Information{coin_name} ({symbol}) Information

OmiseGO enables financial inclusion and interoperability through the public, decentralized OMG network.

OmiseGO is an open payment platform and decentralised exchange issued on Ethereum, an open-source public blockchain. Its slogan is "Unbank the Banked" and the stated objective is to provide better financial services for everyone, including both people who use traditional banking services and people in developing countries and locales which lack traditional banking infrastructure. Its token OMG is currently the sixth highest market cap Ethereum project in the world and was the first Ethereum project to exceed USD $1 billion valuation. The project is supported by co-founders of Ethereum: Vitalik Buterin and Gavin Wood, and is designed by the creator of Lightning Network and Plasma, Joseph Poon. The first public release of the wallet SDK is expected to happen in the first quarter of 2018. The SDK and blockchain will continue to be worked on and functionality added.

Questions and AnswersQuestions and Answers

Has OMG forked or is there going to be an airdrop?
OMG has not forked and the airdrop was completed in September 2017. Every $OMG clone and any ongoing airdrop claims are scams. Any ETH address holding over 0.1 ETH as of block height 3988888 automatically received OMG in an amount proportional to their holdings. At no time did any user need to take any action. Without exception, anyone asking you to send your private keys is attempting to scam you - and be careful of fake websites.
Why haven’t I received my OMG airdrop?
All OMG to be airdropped have been airdropped. If your ETH was stored in an exchange wallet, then the decision of whether to pass on received OMG is made by the exchange, not OmiseGO. Addresses associated with centralized exchanges are owned by the exchange, not the customer. As of this writing one exchange, Bitfinex, has chosen to distribute airdropped tokens to its users. If your address was directly owned by you and you did not receive an airdrop, then you did not have the required amount of ETH as of the specified block height. Addresses on the Ethereum blockchain that held over 0.1 ETH as of block height 3988888 received OMG. Again, there was no action to be taken by users.
I've accidentally sent my OMG tokens to the wrong address. Can you help me?
No. The OMG token contract follows the ERC20 standard, which means OMG is decentralised and the contract owner has no control over it. Only you can keep your tokens safe, so please make sure you thoroughly educate yourself about how to safely store and send tokens before making any transactions, always double check that you are sending to the correct address, and never send your private keys to anyone. Anyone who has your private keys can, and probably will, take your money. If you have sent your tokens to… …the OMG smart contract address: It is not possible to make transactions from the contract address - those tokens are lost to all. …the wrong token address on an exchange: You can try contacting the exchange with the details of your transaction, but OmiseGO has no power to reverse the transaction or force the exchange to return your tokens. …a scammer: We feel for you, but there is nothing we can do to get those tokens back and it is extremely unlikely that you will ever see them again. We do our best to report scam accounts, so feel free to let us know if you see a suspicious account or website--but we can’t catch them all and can’t take responsibility for their actions. …some other address that you don’t have access to: No one except the holder of the private keys associated with that address will be able to help you get your tokens back. Unless the person who received them is exceptionally honest and decides to give them back, those tokens are lost for good.
How will staking work?
